Elpis Ministries- a preview

This past September I had the complete honor of visiting a group of Filipina missionaries living and serving the Lord in Mae Sot, Thailand.  They work with migrant and refugee children from neighboring Myanmar (Burma).  These children are the poorest of the poor, and their families are fleeing economic hardship and political oppression in their country that has been plagued by civil war for over 60 years.  But the Lord is doing amazing work through these faithful women.  It is work enabled in large part by the generosity of others.  We are currently in the process of producing a web page and a body of work to tell their story of faith in a faithful God, as well as continue to expand their base of support to further their efforts to bring hope to the hopeless.  They are currently running a school for migrant children (Elpis School), a safe-house for girls at risk (Faith Haus), a children’s church, as well as a number of other projects aimed at giving hope and a future to these children that the world has forgotten, but God has not.  They are sharing God’s love in real, life-changing ways and the more they receive, the more lives they will be able to touch with the Gospel.  Please stay tuned here for more info about our work for them in the near future.  For now, here is a small preview of Elpis Ministries:

You can also stay up to date with them on their Facebook page here.
